Richard's on track for London to Paris Cycle Ride Each evening after work 29 year old Richard Sault is out on his bike for 10 or 15 mile training run. Last weekend saw him complete a 104 mile ride to get ready for taking part in one of our London to Paris Cycle Rides which sets off on the 2nd July.

Clinton Woods puts the punch into male cancer fight Boxer Clinton Woods visited Weston Park Hospital to launch our Men's Cancer Campaign for 2008. He met with patients and staff, showed off his IBF light-heavyweight world title belt and posed for photographers and tv cameras to help spread the word about the Cancer Appeal's work to raise awareness and funds to fight men's cancers.

Tuxford Vintage Tractors Run for Weston Park Hospital On 6th July the lanes and fields around the North Notts village of Tuxford will rumble to the sound of up to 100 vintage tractors. This is the 4th year running the event has been organised by the Ducksbury Family in memory and thanks for Micheal Ducksbury who was treated at Weston Park Hospital. To date they have raised an amazing £15,500 and hope this years event will make it even more.

£1Million Rose Appeal for Chemotherapy hits target You have done it!!! In November 2004 we launched an appeal to raise £1 Million to update Weston Park Hospital's chemotherapy and day case unit. Now thanks to you, our generous supporters the new unit is open and offering bright, spacious, comfortable state-of-the-art new facilities to our patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy.

A Great Show at Bakewell for Ian The sun shone, the crowds flocked to the Bakewell Showground and a dedicated band of collectors, organised by local man Ian Hughes, came out in force to raise money for Weston Park Hospital. It is with great regret that we have to report that Ian lost his battle against cancer, he will be greatly missed by all of us at Weston Park Hospital.
